EMDPLR account and editorial Privacy Notice - registration summary

EMDPLR processes identification, contact, affiliation, account-security and editorial data in order to create and secure your account, administer submissions, peer review, production, publication, integrity procedures and the scholarly record. Optional profile-publication, newsletter, event, WhatsApp and similar preferences are managed separately in your profile and may be changed later.

The mobile number is optional and is never part of the public author profile. Place and date of birth, if later supplied, are private and are used for unambiguous identification on the optional Certificate of Publications. Public biography and photograph require separate opt-in choices.

Account closure does not erase published articles or the scholarly publication record. Private account data that are no longer necessary are deleted or minimised according to the retention policy. Rejected or withdrawn editorial files are retained for the period stated in the full Privacy Policy for integrity, dispute and resubmission purposes and are then deleted or anonymised unless a legal or integrity hold applies.

Reader analytics use pseudonymous tokens rather than exposing raw IP addresses to authors. The public Author Hub never displays private phone, birth or login data.

Open Terms of Account

The account is personal and credentials must not be shared. Public self-registration confers Author status only. EMDPLR may restrict, suspend, ban or close accounts used for impersonation, abuse, harassment, interference with the editorial process, security attacks or other serious misuse. Closing an account does not delete articles already published or records that must be retained for publication integrity.

Separate Submission Terms, Publication Ethics declarations and, after acceptance, a Publication Agreement apply to manuscripts. Optional communications are not a condition of account creation.
